Energy prices shoot up 23% in the Southeast /Central-West and South

The Northeast and North submarkets maintain the price floor of R$ 42.35/MWh

2.Average PLD 2 assuming the last published PLD extends to the last day in May 2019.

The Settlement Price for Differences (PLD) for the second week of May was quoted at R$174,86/MWh in the Southeast/Center-West and South, a significant increase of approximately 23% over the previous week. In the Northeast and North, PLD remains at minimum value, namely R$ 42,35/MWh.

The key factors behind PLD variation this week were lower reservoir levels and higher expected load.
